As the assistive technology landscape continues to evolve, new tools are emerging that aim to better support access, independence, and inclusion across education and the workplace.
In this session, CareScribe will introduce two assistive technologies recently launched in North America — Caption.Ed and TalkType. The presentation will explore the challenges these tools are designed to address, how they are being used in real-world contexts, and where they fit within the wider ecosystem of assistive technology.
This session will centre on practical use cases, implementation considerations, and what educators, practitioners, and institutions should consider when evaluating new assistive technologies for their communities. We will also show you some exciting new features coming soon.
Attendees will leave with:
An overview of emerging assistive technologies now available in North America
Insight into common access challenges these tools aim to support in educational and professional settings
Practical examples of how Caption.Ed and TalkType are being used to support access and productivity
Considerations for evaluating and adopting new AT tools within institutions or individual practice
